Pronal-USA, Inc. is a subsidiary of Pronal S.A.S. in Leers, France. Pronal has been in business for over 50 years and has been developing know-how and expertise in designing and manufacturing of flexible structures, bladders and bags made of a variety of elastomers, plastomers and composites.

We offer a wide range of products extending from Flexible Tanks for storage and transportation of most any type of liquid, Flexible Lifting Bags and Cushions, Pipe Plugs and Stoppers, Hydraulic Oil Compensators, Aircraft Lift Bags for disabled aircraft recovery, as well as many other custom designed products.

Today, more than 3,000 global customers rely on Pronal to provide solutions for Design Projects in a variety of fields, including Military, Aerospace, Fire Rescue, Offshore, Industrial/Mechanical, Hydraulic, Nuclear, and Environmental.

Since 1961, we have been manufacturing standard and custom flexible products made of technical fabrics coated with elastomers and/or plastomers.

Examples of materials we carry are elastomers such as Nitrile (NBR), Nitrile PVC (NPVC), SBR, EPDM, Polychloroprene (Neoprene), VAMAC, HNBR, Hypalon and Silicone; and plastomers such as PVC, Polyurethane (PU) and Alcryn.

The materials are selected based on multitude of requirements such as:

  • Chemical resistance to acids, bases, hydrocarbons, additives, oils, etc.
  • Mechanical performance such as resistance to abrasion, punctures, tears, crash/impact
  • Environmental performance such as resistance to UV, ozone, light (type I2F3), cold, heat and marine atmosphere.

We select the technical fabrics based on technical specifications provided by our customers. Examples of these fabrics are Polyamide, Polyester, Aramid (Kevlar and Twaron), or double surface fabric in polyamide and polyester. These fabrics may also have a protective layer of barrier-type film (PVF), Teflon (PTFE) or varnish.

We utilize state of the art equipment for vulcanization under vacuum at high temperatures, as well as RF welding equipment and computerized cutting tables.

To meet the highest quality requirements of our customers, Pronal has established a Quality Assurance System that meets the ISO 9001 version 2008.

In the field of Aeronautics, Pronal is certified by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and 21G Part 145 for the production, maintenance and repair of fuel bladders.
